Tana brings a nuanced understanding of women's evolving identities, attuned to the emotional and identity shifts many women move through during postpartum adjustment, parenting, career changes, divorce, caregiving, chronic illness, grief, and perimenopause or menopause, helping clients feel met exactly where they are.
More than two decades of experience with children and families, combined with a background in education and academic coaching, give Tana a developmental lens that is especially valuable for supporting children and adolescents with anxiety, ADHD, or executive-function challenges, and for helping parents better understand both their children and themselves.
Tana's warm, integrative approach draws on psychodynamic, IFS, attachment-based, trauma-informed, and cognitive behavioral principles to understand how experiences live in both the mind and body, building the self-compassion, emotional awareness, and practical tools clients need to create lasting change.
"At the heart of my work is the belief that being genuinely seen and understood for who we are, holistically, without judgment or pressure to conform, can transform how we relate to ourselves, our histories, and one another. I am here to meet you just where you are, and work alongside you as you make connections, understand your story with greater compassion, and reconnect with strengths you may have lost sight of. My hope is that you will feel freer to create a life and relationships that are more authentic, connected, and fully your own."
- Tana Litt
With a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a trauma focus from Antioch University, a California Teaching Credential in Health Science, and a BA in Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Tana brings over two decades of experience supporting children and adolescents with diverse needs, as well as the families around them.
Tana hopes her clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves, greater compassion for what they have endured, and practical coping strategies for managing difficult emotions and relationships. She hopes clients truly feel seen and heard, and that they leave feeling more grounded, connected, and empowered to move through life with greater authenticity, confidence, and choice.
Outside of the therapy room, Tana enjoys spending time with her two daughters, dog, family, and friends, often over a good meal, as she is an enthusiastic foodie. She also finds inspiration and renewal through live music, writing, interior design, gardening, and Pilates, and values the warmth, humor, and authentic connection that allow people to feel at home with one another.
Tana especially enjoys working with women across the lifespan, including those navigating postpartum adjustment, parenting, identity shifts, relationships, divorce, caregiving, chronic illness, grief and loss, and perimenopause or menopause.
She also values working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem concerns, family transitions, or difficulty understanding and expressing their emotions.
Tana's approach draws on strength-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-focused CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), person-centered therapy, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and nervous system regulation strategies. She views therapy as an active and collaborative process shaped by each client's history, culture, relationships, and lived experience.
