- Nahid Niestzche

Nahid Niestzche is a Doctoral Intern in Clinical Psychology who brings deep compassion and multicultural sensitivity to her work with adults, couples, and older adults navigating life's most challenging transitions.

With specialized expertise in women's mental health, infertility, medical trauma, and grief, she creates calm, supportive therapeutic spaces where clients feel understood, respected, and heard as they explore their experiences at their own pace. Nahid's background includes extensive work in hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice settings, where she has supported individuals and families through illness, cognitive changes, and profound loss, experiences that have profoundly shaped her appreciation for creating grounded, caring environments during vulnerable moments.

Her therapeutic approach is holistic, compassionate, person-centered, and trauma-informed, grounded in multiple evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness-based practices. Nahid believes that healing happens within trusting relationships and that each person's story deserves to be understood within their unique cultural, relational, and life context. Her methodology focuses on helping clients make sense of their experiences, regulate emotions, build resilience, and reconnect with a sense of steadiness and self-trust.

Nahid's doctoral research examined the psychological impact of infertility on women's mental health, informing her deep commitment to integrating emotional support within medical and fertility care contexts. This specialized focus allows her to provide uniquely informed support for individuals and couples navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and the complex emotional landscape of reproductive health. As a multilingual therapist fluent in Arabic, French, English, German, Moroccan Arabic (Darija), and Berber, she brings exceptional multicultural perspective and deep respect for diverse worldviews to her practice.

Her clinical experience spans diverse settings where she has witnessed the intersection of physical health, emotional wellbeing, and life transitions. This background has equipped her with particular sensitivity to the psychological impact of medical experiences, caregiving responsibilities, and the grief that accompanies illness and loss. Nahid views therapy as a collaborative journey of listening, learning, and walking alongside clients as they build insight, growth, and meaningful change.
