Cristina's integrated approach to anxiety, life transitions, and stress treats these as connected rather than separate struggles, helping women build practical tools for steadying themselves even as work, family, and cultural pressures are all moving at once.
Her grounding in cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness gives clients tools they can use between sessions, not just space to talk, helping them recognize their patterns and quiet the noise long enough to make intentional choices.
As a first-generation Mexican American and an eldest daughter herself, Cristina brings a lived understanding of cultural pressure and family responsibility, helping clients feel truly seen rather than needing to translate, shrink, or explain their experience.
"I specialize in supporting women navigating anxiety and depression, with particular care for women of color and clients working through questions of cultural identity, belonging, and the pressures of living between worlds. My style is grounded and collaborative, drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness to help clients quiet the noise, understand their patterns, and build practical tools they can actually use."
- Cristina Mariana Curiel Baeza
Cristina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who creates space for women who are used to holding everything together.
She specializes in supporting women of color and women who identify as highly sensitive, introverted, or quietly struggling, women who feel the pull of anxiety, depression, and cultural pressure but haven't always had a space that truly felt made for them. At the Center for Healing & Personal Growth, she offers a place to be heard and seen, where clients don't have to translate, shrink, or hold it together.
Cristina's approach to therapy is integrative and eclectic. She doesn't believe one size fits all, and she draws from a range of evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness to help clients quiet the noise, understand their patterns, and build practical tools they can actually use in daily life
She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a doctoral student in applied clinical psychology (PsyD), and her clinical experience spans community mental health, mobile crisis work, and social work in the emergency room department. That range gives her a grounded, real-world understanding of how anxiety, stress, and life transitions show up for people in crisis and in everyday life alike.
As a first-generation Mexican American and an eldest daughter, this work is personal for Cristina. She understands the complexities of being the one everyone relies on, and she brings that understanding into the room to help clients find practical tools for navigating the pressures of day-to-day life, cultural identity, and belonging.
When she isn't with clients, Cristina can be found exploring new thrift stores, reading on her Kobo, and searching for the best diner in town.
